Marlin Environmental Services is proud to announce that we have been awarded the JOSCAR SME Innovation Award at JOSCAR Live, held on 18th November at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. This achievement marks a major milestone for our team and recognises the impact of our innovative fuel polishing technology and process.
JOSCAR (the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is an accreditation system used across the defence, aerospace, and security sectors to ensure that suppliers meet the highest standards of compliance, capability, and quality. Managed by Hellios, JOSCAR simplifies supplier assurance by providing a single, industry-recognised framework that major buyers trust.

The JOSCAR SME Innovation Award specifically recognises small and medium-sized enterprises bringing forward new, impactful technologies or solutions that support these industries. The award highlights innovation that delivers clear value, efficiency, and long-term benefit — making it a prestigious achievement within the sector.
The competition began with 27 companies, each submitting an entry outlining their innovation. Marlin was shortlisted to the final seven, after which Emma Cox, Managing Director, and Mark Davey, Technical Manager, pitched our solution to a panel of esteemed judges via Teams. Their clear communication, expertise, and passion secured our place in the final five.
At the live final on stage in front of a panel of esteemed judges and an audience of more than 400 attendees, Mark presented our plans to scale our on-site fuel polishing process and highlighted the significant sustainability and cost benefits it delivers to customers and the wider industry.
We are delighted to have received this prestigious award, which reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire team.
A special thank you goes to Mark Davey and Emma Cox for their exceptional efforts throughout this process — for bringing their knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to every pitch and for continually driving forward opportunities such as these awards.
We also extend our thanks to the other outstanding finalists, whose innovations were truly inspiring, and to the Hellios team for their support throughout the competition and for delivering an excellent conference.
This recognition reinforces Marlin Environmental Services’ commitment to delivering sustainable, efficient, and forward-thinking solutions for our customers — and we look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead.
